About Oxford Wedding Music

Oxford Wedding Music is a collective of professional musicians, founded by multi-instrumentalist Alice Taylor. Alice runs several Oxford-based bands and events-management networks including the Oxford Jazz Collective. Alice is an organist, pianist, bassist, drummer and vocalist. She is the regular organist at St James's Church Cowley, and has performed at numerous weddings and events across the city. Alice has experience as both a cocktail jazz pianist, as well as a solo keyboardist/singer playing fun dance music. Alice has extensive professional choral singing as well as pop and jazz singing experience. She has sung with the choirs of Queens, Somerville, Wadham, and the Christ Church Cathedral Singers. Alice also plays synths and has DJed at various events.

Alice runs SugarRush, a professional pop/dance band who recorded their first album at Abbey Road. Additionally, Alice founded the Oxford Jazz Collective, an inclusive network of jazz musicians and bands who perform across the city. For a novelty act that has proven popular at balls and elopement parties, Alice runs Oxford's Mario Kart Live Band! Audience members raffle to play the game and the band plays the music. Alice is bassist and singer for the Donut Kings (jazz big band), Shake Your Money Maker (blues band), and The Oxford Keytones (jazz cocktail band). Alice is well connected with the Oxford music scene and can provide a wide range of musicians for any event, whether it's a harpist, a ceilidh band, or a DJ.
